Resco, a supplier of advanced developer components and tools for mobile devices, announces release of brand new controls for Resco MobileForms Toolkit 2009. The controls will be optimized for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5.
In January 2009 Resco announced a new version of Resco MobileForms Toolkit 2009. Besides the Touch functionality enhancement and improved graphic user interface of the new Toolkit, Resco decided to enlarge portfolio of components in the Toolkit as well. Three brand new controls will be added, thus making Resco MobileForms Toolkit a sophisticated perfection suited for mobile application developers working with Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft .NET Compact Framework.
Resco Toolbar Control
Resco Toolbar Control is advanced version of Microsoft Toolbar with enhanced functionality and graphic interface. The Toolbar Control consists of a simple bar with graphical buttons embedded into it. Touch functionality and Advanced Graphic Interface are key features of the control. Advanced graphic allows creating fully customizable buttons. Buttons can be defined either as a collection of icons of the same size, or as a skin which is cut by developer to particular buttons. The latter allows developers to use this control also in non-typical Toolbar situations. In case there is more buttons in the bar than the width of the device screen, the toolbar has a finger touch scroll support. Toolbar can be created for both, landscape and portrait view.
Resco Tab Control
Resco Tab Control is advanced version of Microsoft Tab control that consists of several tab pages. Tab management is done the similar way like Resco Toolbar Control. Thus it provides advanced graphics and user control capabilities. Tab Control fully supports Touch scroll functionality that makes overall control simple and native.
Resco Tooltip Control
Resco Tooltip Control was developed based on demand from our customers. Basically it is a simple window that displays explanatory information about items that cannot be displayed due to the lack of space. The implementation of Tooltip is very easy. Developer only enters text and defines location of the Tooltip. The hint text in an end user application can be called by a single click with a short holding of the finger.
All three controls are primarily focused on the Touch functionality and improved Graphic Interface. Toolbar, Tab, and Tooltip controls were designed to complete existing components portfolio of MobileForms Toolkit by the most desired ones according to Resco customers’ feedback.
“The reason why we’ve developed new components is our customers,” said Radomir Vozar, Resco's Enterprise Solutions division director. "We always try to bring new features, components, and improvements in order to provide developers with the best value they can get once they decide to go for MobileForms Toolkit.”
Availability
All three new controls will be available as the part of Resco MobileForms Toolkit 2009, which will be released on February 17, 2009.
