Samsung's i780 has received some pretty nice words of praise from PDA247.
The i780 features a 320x320 screen which is new to Windows Mobile Devices. It features HSDPA, 2MP camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, FM radio, and GPS. It's only a triband GSM device but it does come with 128MB RAM.

The Motorola Q9c is finally available at Verizon Wireless. There have been rumors and delays on this one but it is finally available.
You can pick one up online for $199 with a two-year agreement. Verizon's web site also offers an additional $50 mail-in rebate.

HTC has announced another addition to their Touch line of smartphones. Built to compete directly with the iPhone, HTC's latest effort in the Windows Mobile phone department, is the Touch Diamond.
The Touch Diamond has Wi-Fi and GPS, and supports fast data speeds like 7.2Mbps HSDPA.

Palm has sent a letter out to their developer community confirming the existence of two new phones. The letter asks their launch developers to submit applications for participation in the launch of the new devices. The new devices, Zeppelin and Skywriter could come out later this year as the application deadline is May 30.
One of the devices is rumored to be a Centro-like Windows Mobile phone.

According to WMExperts, Sprint will be releasing the Treo 800w on July 22. No word on where they got the information but it seems to fit the earlier leaked roadmaps for Sprint.
The Treo 800w will have some nice features like Threaded SMS, 320x320 resolution, EVDO rev. A, and GPS.

Research in Motion has a planned BlackBerry service outage tonight for database upgrades. The outage will affect both BIS and BES Users. The planned BlackBerry outage will start a 2:00 a.m. EST May 3rd and last until 6:00 a.m. EST.

Typing on TouchPal is pretty easy: you just need to tap and slide by your thumb. In most cases, you only need to tap tap tap and use the auto-word predition to input the right word. The iPAQ 900 was announced months ago but it has not yet hit the stores. It is currently in the FCC certification process which gives us hope, but does not necessarily mean it will hit the stores any time soon.
The iPAQ 900 features quadband GSM, triband HSDPA, 802.11 b/g WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.0. It runs Windows Mobile on a 520 MHz Marvell processor with 128 MB of RAM and 256 MB of ROM. It also includes a 3 megapixel camera.

Rumors of a new Sprint Treo 800w have been around for a couple of years now. With the recent announcement of a new version of Windows Mobile (6.1) comes word that Sprint will release a Palm Treo 800w running the new Windows Mobile.
The new Treo is expected to have WiFi, Bluetooth and a 320x320 resolution. It is also expected to include GPS and a 2 megapixel camera.
No word on what the new Treo will cost but it is expected to be available before the end of summer....read more

"The Windows Mobile 6.1 Emulator Images package adds emulator images to Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Studio 2008 that let you test applications for Windows Mobile 6.1.
