Overview
The TotalRemote is unique because it combines a full-featured remote controller software solution with a specially designed IR port. The IR port plugs into a standard 3.5" headset jack. The IR accessory communicates with the Pocket PC through this headset jack allowing a more powerful IR signal to be generated.
Usage
TotalRemote is fairly simple to use. The small IR bud plugs into your Pocket PC's headset jack, and you install the software onto your Pocket PC. Once the software has been installed you simply open it, and you're ready to go.
If the device that you would like to control with TotalRemote is included in the long list of pre-loaded devices you're in luck. You simply select that as an active device and you're ready to go. You have two options at your disposal when using the TotalRemote. You can use the remote by pressing the screen and you can also assign the hardware buttons to perform the most common tasks. Assigning the hardware buttons is a good idea because TotalRemote includes the option to turn off the screen in order to help conserve battery life.
