Microsoft's Aaron Woodman showed up at The Engadget Show with a little surprise. He brought the first Windows Phone 7 Series prototype that we've seen to date. The LG Windows Phone 7 Series pre-production prototype is a QWERTY slider. The prototype needs some work, but it looks promising. We haven't heard much from Microsoft for so long.
The LG phone is just a little thicker than the iPhone and Nexus One. It has dedicated hardware buttons for the camera which is nice. The camera, by the way, is 5 megapixels with a flash.
Let's hope Microsoft and their partners get it into gear and bring us some Windows Phone 7 Series devices this year.
