According to Bloomberg, US cell phone carrier Sprint may start selling assets to help improve a bad situation for the company. After losing more than 1 million customers last quarter things are looking down for Sprint. In fact, Sprint's quarterly net loss was $505 million.
Some options include selling of Nextel or finding a buyer for the company. They will also be closing Sprint stores and lowering prices.
Customers have been leaving Sprint for other carriers due to poor service. Have you ever tried to get anything done at a Sprint store? Be prepared to WAIT!
The good news is that Sprint may have to make prices attractive for its customers in order to keep them. Sprint has been good to us on the data end of things, but they need to work on their customer service. They also need to get better phones!
