A German supermarket chain has introduced a new way to checkout your items. In the new chain of stores, customers can pay for their purchases with a specially adapted mobile telephone.
"The Future Store" was recently opened near Duesseldorf. Customers pick up a specially adapted phone when they come to the store. A leaked document posted at Howard Forums shows that Sprint will release the Treo 800w on July 13. Business Partners should be able to pick up the device a little earlier, July 9, but most of use will have to wait for the 13th.
The full price of the Treo 800w will be $599 although you can get that down to $249 with contracts and rebates.

Sprint has officially launched the Samsung Instinct. If you like the look of the iPhone but don't have AT&T service than perhaps you'll like the Instinct.
Originally slated to sell for over $200 Sprint dropped the price as soon as Apple announced the price drop for their iPhone. Now you can pick up the Samsung Instinct for $129 with a 2-year agreement and $100 rebate.

TreoCentral is reporting that Verizon's Palm Treo 700wx will get a Windows Mobile 6 Professional update. Someone apparently uncovered a set of Palm internal training slides that detail a number of upcoming rom updates and the Treo 700wx is on the list.
The Verizon Treo 700wx Update v1.24 is expected to come sometime during the spring or summer.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 will be out soon and guess who has the pictures to prove it. BGR has done it again with new pictures of the Xperia X1. Sony's latest entry into the PDA phone market will be special. This one has an 800x480 display which is incredible for a Windows Mobile phone. They keyboard looks lame, but we're still looking forward to this one.

Samsung recently announced the SGH-i900 OMNIA Windows Mobile Smartphone.
The SGH-i900 is a quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA phone with speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. It runs Windows Mobile 6.1, includes WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, as well as a an FM radio and a GPS receiver.
It sports a 3.2" WQVGA (240 x 400 pixel) touch screen which features haptics and vibrations giving users feedback when the display is touched.

HTC has unveiled the HTC Touch Pro. It's a slider phone with a full QWERTY keyboard. The Touch Pro includes WiFi, Bluetooth and HSPA. It runs Windows Mobile 6.1 with 500MB of ROM and 288MB of RAM. It also includes the TouchFLO interface.
The Touch Pro includes a 2.8-inch VGA display, and a 3.2 megapixel camera.
